I love it in the day when he is sleeping restfully in his moses basket next to me and I have a couple min. to just sit and rest. Now dont get me wrong I love holding him and taking care of him but the quite moments throughout the day is something I miss. I want to get into a better habit of sitting down and blogging and journaling about what has been going on and what he has been up to. I think I will regret it further down the line if I don't. Today we had some photographer friends come over and attempt to grab some newborn shots of him but as usual you cannot plan out what a baby will do. He fussed the whole time they were here and then as son as they left he conked out and has been sleeping ever since! There is a reason you are supposed to do a newborn shoot within two weeks. Oh well. Luckily while my family was here my dad and asher got some great shots.
It has been great getting into somewhat of a routine with him and bringing into our family. He is so sweet and precious and we are both so in love with him. It was hard at first when my mom left after being here for three weeks because she was such a HUGE help. I don't think I have missed her so much ever. She was wonderful at taking him at night for us which was a life saver and she just has so much knowledge and wisdom when it comes to being a mom. I wish I lived near them and now having a baby it makes me want to even more! It was also WONDERFUL to have Asher here for a week. She came up alone and I had a great time soaking up her full attention! It was great :) The first day after everyone was gone was needless to say rough. I was all of a sudden left with this little boy and all the hormones in the world and I had no clue how to deal with them.
Adam and I are still trying to figure out this whole working on little or no sleep and hopefully it will come but I am proud to say that I have stayed away from coffee and caffeine since he was born. Go me.

Our sweet friend Amanda was wonderful enough to give up her day while I was in labor to come down and photograph the delivery. I am SO THANKFUL for her doing this. The images she got are priceless and so special to me. Here are a few.
